ARTIST STATEMENT
I seek to capture a sense of place in nature in my artwork.
As a born and raised Vermonter, I have always felt a strong
connection to the land and have found intrigue in the historical
structures set in this inspiring, natural setting. My artwork,
therefore, depicts architectural subjects within the Vermont
landscape. My style is highly realistic and preferred
mediums include pen & ink, watercolor and oil.

My latest commissions have been portraits of Vermont homeowners’ properties and peoples’ pets. During the process of creating a property portrait, I enjoy working with the client in order to convey a sense of nostalgia and personal history. While composing a pet portrait, I strive to evoke the qualities that make the client’s pet unique. I have also completed commissions for business logos.
I am currently welcoming requests for commissions. Portraits of family properties are a wonderful way to commemorate the place where you and your loved ones have shared years of memories. In addition, pet portraits forever capture the special and one of a kind personality of your beloved pet. These portraits (property and pet) are also great ideas for birthday, anniversary or holiday gifts. In addition, the original piece of artwork can be reproduced into box sets of personalized greeting cards. My commissioned work is not, however, limited to these aforementioned subjects and I am always willing to accommodate the vision and desires of the client.
